Finding Joy!


One of the most under utilized modes of healing our own health is resting, relaxing and finding something that brings you joy! As Ian famously says, "our lives should do and be, do be, do be...."
If you have stinkin' thinking, you live constantly in a stressed state, we should seriously consider the uphill battle our bodies are contending with.

Take heart! There is a solution and the good news is the more you do it, the better you will become! Take these simple suggestions and adapt them to your life today!


HOW:

-book time to yourself in your calender and stick to it!

-take a temporary technology break

-write a list of all the things you need to accomplish that day, read over them and know that they will be better accomplished once you've given yourself this break

-use your breath, deep inhales in through your nose, and push it out just as slowly back through your nose.

- find a a safe, comfortable environment that allows you to be undisturbed


WHAT:

-cozy up to a good book and a hot cup of tea

-yoga or meditation

-walking in nature

-getting a massage

-take a watercolor or pottery class

-learn to knit or sew

-take a dance class

-have lunch with a friend

-cook


While we realize these are very basic suggestions, but it is so important to not overlook this in your journey to health! Even taking one or two suggestions to start with can make a big impact!
