recipe WEDNESDAY: Lamb Burgers on Portobellos

Lamb Burgers on Portobellos



At True Wellness we love a good burger just as much as you! Just make sure you are using the highest quality meat! As with any burger, get creative with what you put in it or on top of it! Enjoy this NEW summer classic...











1/2 cup chopped porcini mushrooms
1/2 cup oven roasted cherry tomatoes (split in half, tossed in olive oil and seasoning, roast till browned)
2 lbs ground lamb
3-4 minced cloves of garlic
1 tsp chili powder
1/4c fresh parsley
1/4c  fresh basil
1 beaten egg
6 portobello mushrooms
sea salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1 ripe avocado
1/2c crumbled goat cheese

Heat the grill to a medium-high temperature. Combine mushrooms, tomatoes, lamb, garlic, chili, salt, pepper, parsley, basil and egg till well mixed in. Make 6 patties.

Wash and remove stems from portobellos, brush with olive oil then season with sea salt and pepper. Grill burgers as desired and portobellos for 4 minutes on each side. Top mushrooms with burgers and top with sliced avocado and crumbled goat cheese.
